WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FINAL INSPECTIONS

First Home Buyers…things you need to know about Final Inspections…
🙌 Your finance has been approved – yay!
🙌 Your building/pest inspections are clear – woohoo!
🙌 The settlement date is getting closer – eeeekk!
The Final Inspection, whilst not mandatory, is your chance to ensure the home you have purchased is in the condition it was when you placed the offer. If you have a good working order clause in your contract it is also a good time to ensure that the plumbing, gas, and electrics of the home are in working order.
The final inspection usually takes place 5 business days prior to settlement.

Just remember that small maintenance items are not claimable. This includes things such as tears in flyscreens, scuffs on walls, and marks on the floor. That said, it is handy to know what maintenance you may need to do before your removalist turns up to unload your belongings!
